What tools do I need to install Z-TRAK?
Z-TRAK installs in 5 minutes with:

- 5/16" socket

How secure is Z-TRAK?
Because Z-TRAK has 20 mounting points into the front of your truck bed, it is extremely secure. In all of our installations across every make/model of truck you can think of, we have never had a Z-TRAK come loose. Your specific make/model of truck and truck bed material may affect the strength of Z-TRAK. While strong enough to do so in most installations, Z-TRAK was not designed to be used for towing or winching heavy objects like ATV's, snowmobiles, big game, etc... You are responsible for using your Z-TRAK system wisely.
Does Z-TRAK work with third party accessories?
Yes! Z-TRAK uses the E-track slots, so it is compatible with the majority of e-track accessories already on the market. You're not locked into our ecosystem of products. However, we do manufacture Z-TRAK with tighter tolerances than regular e-track, so you will find some e-track accessories will not fit. We especially find that cheap Chinese made e-track parts are the most common to not fit, often because they have measured hole spacing in mm not inches and it is slightly off. For the best results, use Z-TRAK accessories whenever possible.
What's the difference between e-track and Z-TRAK?
While the mounting system itself is similar to regular e-track, there are some key differences.
1. Z-TRAK is purpose built to mount into the back of a pickup truck. Most pickup trucks have a lip or flange at the top of the bed, which is where you would want to mount the e-track system, but without a flat mounting area, you can't mount e-track. Z-TRAK is custom designed to fit various makes and models and mounts perfectly level at the top of the bed box.
2. Z-TRAK is made here in the USA and to much higher standards and tighter tolerances than standard e-track. We know our customers are hauling heavy dirt bikes and other gear, so we wanted to get the tolerances as tight as possible to ensure everything stays secure.
Is Z-TRAK available in other colors?
Yes! We can create a custom colored Z-TRAK with matching screws for an additional price. We offer powder coat or ceramic coat. Contact us to submit an inquiry!
How do I know it will fit my truck?
We can customize Z-TRAK to fit almost any truck. When it comes to compatibility with accessories or other gear, the key question is can you access the front of your truck bed? We are compatible with most tonneau covers and other accessories, but if a tool box or other system blocks your access to the front of the bed completely you would not be able to install Z-TRAK.

Does the install require drilling or screwing into the bed?
Yes, Z-TRAK is designed to be permanently installed using 20 #12 self-tapping screws. This makes it extremely secure and easy to install. Z-TRAK looks like it belongs in your truck, so if you end up selling your truck, it will add to the resale value - not detract from it.

I previously had a ratchet strap to each side of the bed, holding my pelican case, filled with tow/recovery items. It was sufficient but could still move as it didn't have the proper angles. I've been looking for something to go against the cab/bed wall and this was perfect! Plenty of contact points. I ordered additional anchors to give me plenty of options. Seems pretty solid but time will tell how this holds up given the self-tapping screws used.

It’s funny, back in the day I had the original CCR Bed Buddy or whatever it was called in the old truck I had years ago. It was a hassle to mount and not exactly flexible in how you used it. I had a similar one after that, and I remember doing all sorts of research on which was better, should I pay more for one made in the USA, etc. But this is such a great concept that I just ponied up and didn’t even look to see if there was anything else like it floating around, and believe me, I know what E-Track costs for a stick, and generally speaking I’m somewhat of a value shopper.
